INAUGURAL & DEDICATION SERVICE OF NEW KLANG CHURCH

The new church building of WCG Klang was officially opened in an inaugural dedication service on Sunday 14 December 2008. It was conducted by Rod Matthews, WCG Regional Director and Mission Developer of Asia-Pacific, and attended by 96 church members, associates and friends from Malaysia, Singapore and America. The WCG Klang church had begun meeting in the new building since 2 November 2008, after nearly 17 years at the old location in Taman Selatan.
Pastor Wong Mein Kong welcomed the audience and read congratulatory messages from retired pastor Yong Chin Gee and The Plain Truth editorial advisor John Halford. Susan Low gave a brief history of the move from our old location to this new building near Bandar Bukit Raja. Rod Matthews gave the sermon “We Are God’s Temple” and concluded with a dedication prayer. Everyone enjoyed warm fellowship over a catered lunch sponsored by elder Low Mong Chai in thanksgiving for his recovery from illness several months ago.
We are grateful that God had blessed us with the building in a new location. It is a new beginning for the Klang church in its journey to live and share the gospel as befitting members of God’s spiritual temple and Christ’s Body.
